About Samick Cafe & Bar

Warm light spills across the cozy interior, where the hum of quiet conversations gently fills the space. In moments like these at Samick Cafe & Bar, the balance between bustling energy and intimate comfort feels well struck. The design blends rustic wooden elements with subtle modern accents, encouraging guests to settle in without feeling rushed. While the staff manage attentiveness with ease, occasional fluctuations in wait times suggest peak hours demand more attention. Nonetheless, those who find a seat can immerse themselves in an atmosphere that invites lingering and casual connection.

Among the standout offerings, the brunch selections showcase both creativity and adherence to classic flavors. Many reviews highlight the vegetable frittata, noted for its lively herb infusion and satisfying texture, which pairs well with a seasonal salad dressed lightly to complement rather than overwhelm. Observing the Samick Cafe & Bar menu reveals a thoughtful approach to accommodating dietary preferences, though some might find the beverage range narrower compared to its food variety. Photos shared by patrons often capture the vibrant plating and generous portions, hinting at a dedication to visual appeal as much as taste.

Experiences here tend to unfold with a natural rhythm, where the casual ease of ordering contrasts with the refined quality of the food. The location on Cuba Street adds a layer of neighborhood charm, drawing a diverse crowd that spans from regular locals to curious tourists. Prices reflect the central setting, carefully calibrated to offer reasonable value without compromising standards. For those curious about others’ impressions, online discussions and Samick Cafe & Bar reviews generally converge on appreciation for the ambiance and culinary consistency, though some point to the unpredictable service pace as an area for improvement.

Inside, out the back and the visible area under the stairs looked very dirty and not cleaned for a very long time. Service was good though, mango smoothie was very nice, bacon and eggs were good although I'm not sure why you would put vinaigrette below the eggs as it made it taste much worse. Some butter or similar on the bread would allow that crispy crust to melt in your mouth too. The rest of the food was good and overall I would come back.. keep it up.

This place has amazing food, we only came for breakfast, but this was the best breakfast we’ve ever had! We wish we found this place the first time we arrived in Wellington. We came from Melbourne, Australia, and we are famous for our coffee, we were searching for 2 weeks for a decent coffee and we finally found it in this place. Amazing! Anyone who left a 1 star review must be talking about another place, I can’t comprehend anyone giving this place a 1 star.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SaMick Cafe & Bar – Wellington, NZ We arrived right as the dinner menu began and was genuinely impressed from the start. The sandwiches and hamburgers were delicious and the pizza was absolutely fabulous …. full of flavor and perfectly prepared. I also loved the gin and tonic, and later enjoyed a great coffee and tasty desserts. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and genuinely personable. It made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. To top it off, the WiFi was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and atmosphere in Wellington!

Well prepared food, good service. We were here on a Thursday noon and had the pumpkin soup which was savoury with a hint of heat and a bacon and spinach omelette with balsamic sauce drizzled across. Bread was crusty and the food had well balanced flavors. Recommend!

Always great here food, drinks, coffee and friendly service. Try the steak sandwich I've tried the steak, burgers, nachos, muffins, scones, and jug beer. All great! After two years, the service and food are still great. Always friendly and very customer-focused focused you can't ask for more. Best Shisa in Wellington!

The cafe was empty when we walked in with hopeful eyes after reading the menu. The service was lovely. And the food was delicious (although not all will be a fan of the celery and carrots in the mince on the nachos, and the salad could have done with more greens) nonetheless delicious and filled up with more customers by the time we left
